Pre Orders for Black Ops, beating Modern Warfare 2.

Pre-orders for Call of Duty: Black Ops have surpassed those of Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, according to Pacific Crest Securities analyst Evan Wilson.

According to Wilson, he's confirmed with sources in retail that Treyarch pre-sells have surpassed Modern Warfare 2 already, but the analyst still believes the game won't be as big a sales success as the last CoD.

Wilson said "competition, weaker marketing, and the Infinity Ward situation" will prevent Black Ops from reaching the mammoth sales figures set by Modern Warfare 2.

Treyarch seems to be quite confidence in Black Ops, recently stating that its Call of Duty title 'raises the bar' over Modern Warfare 2 and will exceed expectations.
